Happily Ever After

Good morning!  Ellie Bean checkin in from a new twenty!  I'm struttin' my stuff in Laramie these days!  Booyah!  This girl got herself a permanent home.  Oh yeah!  Like foreva eva!  I love it!

I've been checking out my new crib for the past couple of weeks.  I got myself a brother, too!  See?

Selfies are hard to do, but he's in the background.  We're gonna be lifelong pals!  Love it love it love it!  There's a cat here, too, but you know... cats... not nearly as much fun to play with.

And my new 'rents let me sleep on the bed.  OMG, that is awesome!!!  It's a life of luxury, I do say.

mmmmm.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... :)

So that was my big news!  Best news ever!  Thanks for following my blog, but I've got a new life to live and it's a busy life.  This girl is busy busy busy!

Catch ya on the flip side!

Of Car Seats and Car Rides

Greetings!  EllieBean on the move!  As you can see, mom took me for a ride, and me, being the total character I am, decided to try riding in a car seat.  It didn't work out so well, but it was entertaining for her.  She took a lot of pictures and laughed a lot.  That's my purpose!  I'm here to make people happy and to laugh.  I'll be here all week, folks.  Don't forget to tip your waitress!

So I got some pretty fancy pants to sport around the house these days.

Zexy, yes no?  I'd say I mind them, but that'd be a huge lie.  And, again, since I'm into entertaining people, this is right up my alley!  And I've got to admit, dang, I look good!  I have a purple one, too, but the pink works good with my warm complexion.

Remember my friend Mary Jane?  REFRESHER!!!

She and her bad self got a fur-ever home with a really awesome super-great family!  I got to meet her new mom and dad at the BDAR adoption drive.  They had to go through my personal screening process, and obvi they passed!  Go Mary Jane!  Work that sweet face!  I am so happy for her!  We had joy, we had fun, and now our seasons in the sun are just in different homes.  It's totally copasetic.  We'll write.  Email.  Text.  Bark.  Whatev.

We've got a new shy-girl at EllieBelle Ranch now.  Her name is Shia.  She is SHY-A to the max, if ya know what I mean!  It's all good.  I've got enough personality to fill in for her until she tells me her story.  This is her.

She's a lot like MJ was when she first showed up, too.  She'll come around.  Gosh, how could she NOT!  We're play-hounds out here!  Once she feels the wind under her ears when she's pouncing the prairie, she'll be whistling a louder tune.

I think I may have some big news, but I'm keeping it under wraps until I know fo sho!  I'm so excited, though!  It's hard not to tell you now!  Stay tuned!

Rainy Day Parade

Bonjour, my friends!

Checking in on this rainy, cold BLUSTERY day!  Sheesh!  This wind makes a girl not want to even go outside.  Well, unless there's a ball involved.  Then all bets are off!

Same old, same old, really.  I went to mom's office with her the other day.  That was pretty dog gone boring!  Blah blah blah, talkin on the phone, blah blah blah, doing boring things that I couldn't help with, she said.  I think she's wrong, but hey, I now can add medical office experience to my resume.  Mom thought this was cute.  I'm chillin' under her desk until she gets up and I can play first chair!

I also did a play date  this past week at Red Ruff Inn.  It was pretty AWESOME!  I mean, I like my homedogs and all, but it was pretty rockin' to meet some new faces.  And then we went to Murdoch's to do a little grocery shopping.  Did you know they don't like when you sample pig ears out of the big bin of them in the middle of the floor??  What's up with that?

Then we just sort of hung out and played at home until it was time for dad to come home.  That's always a pretty exciting part of the day, because when he gets home, it means time to go play with Cisco (AKA Pony Breath.  I call him that sometimes.  He doesn't like it, but I think it's funny).  So this is us waiting for daddio to come inside.

That's about all this busy gal's got for today.  Hate these thunderstorms.  I wish they'd go away.  Snow is chill, but the rumbles... I could do without.

Oh oh oh my gosh, I almost forgot!  We got a new friend to hang out with us for a while.  She's a new chicka from BDAR.  Her name is Mary Jane.  I keep trying to nickname her, but she doesn't have much to say yet.  She just moved in yesterday.  Let me take a picture of her quick.  Wait here.  Yeah.  Right there.  :)

That's her.  She's starting to like the EllieBelle Ranch.  Today, she chased a ball even!  Yesterday, she was kinda scared.  She's warming up to me, I can feel it in my bones.

We're still waiting to hear on my surgery, but I'm in no big hurry.  I've got a lot of playing and running and eating and sleeping that I don't mind doing at ALL.  In the meantime, check out Mary Jane and a bunch of other newbies out at www.bdar.org

Thanks for stoppin by!  Check back soon for more updates!

Another day, another dollar!

Hello there!   EllieBean checking in!  Things at the EllieBelle Ranch are great!  Lots of running, lots of playing and foster mama got me and my buddy Koda a TON of new toys.  Boy, oh boy, I love toys!    Some of them even had stuffing.   We took care of them.  Stuffing is not permitted!  What can I say?  I'm still puppy, through and through.

This morning, we woke mom up to tell her that the birds were awake and the pony was hungry.  She was so happy; almost as happy to get up early as we were to wake her up early!  You can see my fast-wagging tail in the picture she took when we said "GOOD MORNING!!"

She wasn't as motivated to get up as we were to wake her up, so I helped.  I'm a helper, a real motivator like that!

So then we went to feed el pony-o.  I helped again with that chore.  I barked.  Once in a while, a girl's just gotta be heard!

Koda and I spent quite a bit of time playing and romping, so I'm relaxing my bones now.  A little rest and meditation to prepare for supper and additional PT (totally not physical therapy - I'm healthy as a horse!  Of course, I'm talking PLAY TIME!  woot woot!) tonight.  Mom says we've got more work to do, so I should probably catch 40 winks.

So that's my Ellie kind of day today!  Hope everyone else's rocked as much as mine!

Catch and catch up

Hello there!  My name is Ellie.  I'm a BDAR girl.  For those of you who haven't heard of BDAR, I believe it stands for savers of lives or something like that, but I'll ask my foster mama quick.  Oh oh oh oh oh, she says it's Black Dog Animal Rescue.  So I've had a bit of a rough go of it so far.  I had a real-live-true family of my own for a very little while, but they changed their minds about me a little bit after my first birthday.  See, I have a medical problem.  MEDICAL, not an Ellie problem.  When I'm sleeping or relaxed, I piddle a little bit.  It's not intentional or anything; it just leaks out.  It's not how I want things to work, but it happened.  My mama right now says it is something we are going to work on.  I'll get to that.  AAAANNNYYYhow, when BDAR saved me, I was a different girl.
That was me when they came to get me.  As you can see, my smile is missing.  I was skeered!  Since then, I've been living in a foster home east of town.  It's pretty great!  I can bark when I feel like it and as loud as I want.  It's funny, though.  I don't really feel like doing that much.  Once in a while, though, there's this pony, and I've given him a piece of my mind a time or two.  And I can bounce and play and EAT!  I love to eat!  And I still look so sleek, so modelesque!

I absolutely love playing outside with my pal Koda.  This is him and I in our playground.
<------ Out by our pool

Sometimes, we'll rough house inside, too.
As you can see, I usually let Koda pretend that he's winning.  I'm pretty submissive, though.

So about this piddling thing.  It's not as big of a deal as it might seem.  BDAR is going to get a surgery done for me that should correct the problem I have.  It's a medical thang!  Until that gets done, though, I'm just going to chill out at my foster ranch.  I call it the EllieBelle Ranch.  It'll catch on.

Check back to visit me!  I've got a ton of pictures to show all y'all.  And updates on the when/where/how of my surgery.

Big kisses!
Ellie
